June 2018 Update – ‘Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ and ‘Pokémon’
With Nintendo having wrapped up their E3 presentation for 2018, we can now share with all of you some new information regarding a few of the upcoming shows we currently have in development here at TOONDISE.
First up, the highly-anticipated new series Fire Emblem™: Three Houses. This tactical role-playing game was initially revealed back in March 2017, and as you may remember, we greenlit it for production here at TOONDISE in November 2017 for 20 hour-long episodes. The good news is that we already started pre-production work on the series a few months ago, but it looks like all of you Fire Emblem™ fans out there will have to wait a bit longer to see it. Although Intelligent Systems has pushed back the game’s release to next year, we’re still going ahead with the series as planned. So until we can start actually recording gameplay for the episodes themselves, in the meantime, we’ll continue working on refining the show’s template and episodic structure.
If you’re an avid TOONDISE viewer and you check our website frequently, you may have noticed that earlier in the year, we added a couple new programs to the Shows page of our site for other series that we’ve also greenlit. Up until now, we hadn’t dedicated any specific news posts or articles to discussing any of these new projects, since they’re still in the very early stages of development. However, needless to say, the descriptions on their respective pages are pretty accurate in terms of our plans for the shows themselves.
One of these new projects, which we will talk more about in 2019, is a brand new half-hour competitive Pokémon™ series. It revolves around the new core Pokémon title currently in development by Game Freak™, but since it’s slated for release late next year, we’ve still got a ways to go before this airs on TOONDISE.
Of course, we’ll be delving into more detail on all of these upcoming programs in our TOONDISE 2018-2019 Upfronts Presentation when it airs Friday July 27th 8/7c, so make sure you check it out!
