January 2023 Update – Production Status

Hey everyone, Scott here! It has been over 3 years since the last time we provided an update, so I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know what’s been happening. As a result of the long wait that has passed since new episodes of our programs have aired, I felt it was necessary to inform you of our current status and give you a look at our production plans going forward.

The past few years have presented their own unique challenges. Our jobs and personal lives have unfortunately taken a priority over producing new content for TOONDISE, like we had originally planned. My own computer is also almost 12 years old now and continues to experience major video and rendering issues. Add to that the garbage that has been happening with Google and YouTube demonetizing videos, censoring free speech and not being transparent about dislikes, and all of this has combined to create a very unenjoyable atmosphere for content producers like ourselves.

So you’re probably wondering, where do we currently stand? Well, as you probably figured out a while back, all of the Current and Upcoming Shows we were producing and eventually going to produce were placed on hold. That being said, we did finish filming the Pokémon Sun and Moon: Alola Adventures series in its entirety, so it’s just a matter of completing post-production on the rest of the season. I’ve actually been thinking of simplifying the editing process for the remaining episodes in order to get them out faster, but I can assure you that all of them will air on our channel when finished. As for the other programs we previously greenlit, once we are able to resume filming and editing content, we’ll have to re-evaluate at that time whether any of those projects should be fulfilled, or if we should just move on to other series instead.

Right now, the plan is that by the end of this year, I will be upgrading to a brand new computer with new capture equipment. When that happens, I’ll be able to finish editing the episodes that we currently have filmed but haven’t yet aired, as well as also decide what other new series we’ll be adding to our programming lineup. Of course, plans can change and they’re obviously dependent on our financial situations at the time, but I think I can confidently say that by January 2024 at the latest, we should be back to regularly airing new episodes and shows on a weekly basis. It could very well be earlier than that, but I don’t want to set any specific expectations just yet.

Until then, I highly recommend continuing to follow us in Discord and on Twitter, where we remain active in community discussions and posts. Personally, I can’t wait to get back on the producing train and for all of you to once again start watching and enjoying our content. I only ask that you wait just a little bit longer and then we’ll be back to normal. In the meantime, remember that you can always check back here on our website every so often to see if we have any updates. See you soon!
